My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that all children learn best in a warm, nurturing environment and deserve to have an education that best suits their specific learning needs. I believe my role as an educator plays an important part in a child having a sense of security in the classroom which increases their confidence to do their best. As an educator, my job is to encourage my students to be the absolute best version of themselves they can be. In order for me to want this for my students, it includes me fully respecting, accepting, and loving who they are as individuals and focusing on their interests and strengths. I want all of my students to walk into my classroom and know that they are loved and appreciated for who they are and where they are at in their educational journey. My goal for every child that enters my room is for them to succeed in all that they do, through work and through play. It is my ultimate goal to instill in my students a love of learning and knowing the importance of an education. I have always enjoyed learning and I am in this profession to help my students develop a love a learning as well, especially in a way that they understand whether it is through songs, moving their body, or working with a peer.
I want to provide individualized instruction to best fit each child's individual learning styles and attention they need to be successful. I do not believe in comparing one student's success to another, rather will focus on each child's individual successes regardless of how small a success may be. As my students leave the room at the end of the year I want them to feel encouraged, accepted, challenged, and loved for who they are.
